Description

This 3 days is a combo of wildlife and culture, it presents you opportunities to discover game such as Defassa, Zebras, Impalas, Topis, Hippos as well as birds like Abyssinian ground horn-bill, African Fish eagle and many others. Explore the park diversity on a game drive, boat trip and nature walk. A taste of the Ankole culture in this western region of the country just spices this safari, you will discover the hidden treasure in Igongo museum; "where the future meets the past".


  • Travel from Kampala to Igongo Cultural Center, later proceed to Lake Mburo National Park

    You will be picked early in the morning by our professional guide from your hotel in Kampala after breakfast, receive briefing about your tour and set off heading west of the country to Lake Mburo National Park.

    En-route, you will stop at the Equator where the earth is bisected into two; have a simple tour here and later proceed with the journey to Igongo Cultural center for a cultural experience; lunch will be taken here. You will afterwards proceed to the lodge where dinner and overnight will be.

  • Nature walk and Game drive within the park

    Today after breakfast, proceed for an early stunning discovery of nature on a guided walk from Rwonyo, explore the salt licks frequented by wildlife. Lookout for Impalas, Elands, Buffaloes, Zebras and Warthogs among others.

    You will have your lunch and later proceed for a late afternoon game drive in search of more wildlife in this Eco-diverse national park to increase on your wildlife checklist. Will you be able to see the elusive Klip Springer? Retire for evening relaxation, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

  • Tranquil boat cruise on Mburo and return to Kampala

    After breakfast, transfer early to Rwonyo for a morning session of the boat ride along the lake. Keep an open eye along the banks and shores for the Crocodiles, Hippopotamus, Buffaloes and birds like the African fish eagle, Kingfishers, elusive Shoebill and many more.

    Proceed to the lodge after the breathtaking cruise, checkout and transfer back to Entebbe to catch your flight back home. Lunch will be en-route in Masaka.
