• Day 1

  Zanzibar or Dar Es Salaam - Selous Game Reserve

  In the morning you will depart Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam on a flight to the Mtemere Airstrip in Selous Game Reserve. Upon arrival you will begin your half day game drive. Selous Game Reserve delivers a truly remarkable wilderness experience; giving its visitors the opportunity to view wildlife that have had limited human contact. You will see elephant, lion, wild dog, eland, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, hippo and crocodile. You will eat a picnic lunch and then go back to the lodge to relax until the late afternoon.

  You will then venture onto the mighty Rufiji River for a two hour boat safari. You will see antelope make their way to the river to drink, hippos bubbling in the water, crocodiles taking a sunbath and many other animals going about their daily lives. Later in the evening you will enjoy an African savannah sunset after dinner and your overnight stay at the Selous Kinga Lodge or similar.

• Day 2

  Selous Game Reserve - Dar Es Salaam/Zanzibar

  After an early breakfast you will take part in a walking safari with an armed ranger. You will be able to see nature up close and enjoy spectacular views of the river and lakes. After your walk, you will return to the lodge to check-out and then travel back to the airstrip for your flight at back to Dar Es Salaam or Zanzibar. This is where your safari will end.End of Tour
