Experience a safari in the absolutely wild and unspoiled bush of the Selous Game Reserve. This reserve is less frequented by Tourists and is the largest protected wildlife area in Tanzania. At about 54,600km² and with an altitude of between 110–1250m, it covers 6% of Tanzania’s landmass. The UN has designated Selous is designated as a world heritage site due to its unique ecological importance. It has the finest unspoiled virgin bush and over 1,700 botanical species.

  • Dar es Salaam - Selous Game Reserve

    Meet and greet our professional driver guide at 0730 hrs in Dar es Salaam and then drive with a lunch box Selous Game Reserve. After an approximately 5 hour drive.

    Experience a safari in absolutely wild and unspoiled virgin bush with less visited Tourist. Enjoy the drive through untouched & unexplored destination. Enjoy the evening thrilling boat safari on Rufiji River, where you will see Hippos & crocodile in their natural habitat.

  • Selous Game Reserve

    After breakfast, head out for the full day game drive with lunch box. Explore the vast and beautiful Selous with its abundant wildlife and birdlife in their natural habitat in safari costumed open roof 4 x 4. Enjoy a pleasant bush lunch before setting off for some more fantastic game viewing with our professional guide. Selous boost larger population of Elephants as well as large numbers of Buffalo, Hippo, Crocodile and endangered Wild dog.

    Commonly seen are pride of Lion, Bush buck, Impala, Warthogs, Ostrich, Giraffe, Eland, Baboon, Zebra, Hyena, Kudu, Rare sable Antelope and Leopard. In Selous there are more than 400 species of bird life: Fish eagle, Kingfisher, Secretary bird, Sunbird, Hammer kop, Red & Yellow bill stork, Open bill stork, Weavers, Water birds, Marabou stork, Vulture’s etc.

  • Selous Game Reserve - Dar es Salaam

    Your day will start with an early morning walking safari of 2 to 3 hours with bush man and armed ranger. View smaller animals which cannot be seen during the game drive.

    Learn about the traditional trees and plants and their usage and value. Return back to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast, drive back to Dar with a lunch box and drip off.
