Drive Dar es Salaam to Mikumi
Meet & greet at 0700 hrs with our professional driver guide & start your safari with drive of 6 hrs to the Mikumi with lunch box. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as passing through Uluguru Mountains & pass through the sisal plantation at Morogoro. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, the popular center piece of Mikumi, draw frequent comparisons to the more famous Serengeti Plains.
The park is home to Elephants, Velvet Monkey, Baboons, Giraffe, Buffalos, Zebras, Gazelles, monitor lizard, hippos, crocodiles and many more; if you’re lucky you might see pride of lions ramble around or relax under the shady of acacia umbrella tree or any others. There are more than 300 spices of birds are seen are saddle bill stork, hammer kop, malachite kingfisher, lilac breasted roller, yellow throat long claw, battler eagle etc. Enjoy late afternoon game drive with sunset view at hippo pool & see the animal’s drinking water.

Mikumi - Hiking Udzungwa - Sanje falls
After breakfast, drive to Udzungwa with lunch box for a day hike into the dense rain forest and to Sanje River Waterfall, which will take 3- 4hrs of hiking, exploring the bush area and the wonderful waterfalls. Arrive at the top of the 180m Sanje Waterfall. Have the opportunity to relax at idyllic plunge pools and see endemic African violets growing in the spray zones. Enjoy a spectacular hike; overlooking the Kilombero Valley, descend by mid afternoon looking for primates and drive to Mikumi National Park.
Drive back to Mikumi for overnight. Udzungwa National Park is one of thirty-four ”Biodiversity Hotspots” and one of 200 WWF Eco region of global critical importance. This greenish massive forest panorama draws the attention of many backpackers; furthermore the park is a home to an important population of primates (10 species- more than in any of Tanzania’s other parks) as well as the grey faced sengi.

Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi
After an early breakfast, go for a full day game drive with a lunch box. Mikumi is home to elephants, the velvet monkey, baboons, giraffe, buffaloes, zebras, gazelles, and many more. If you’re lucky, you might see a pride of lions ramble around or relaxing under the shade of acacia umbrella trees. Besides visiting the hippo pool, you will visit a few other attractions. Enjoy sunset at the Hippo pool and enjoy viewing animals drinking water at the pool side.

After breakfast, drive to Dar es Salaam with lunch box. Enjoy a panoramic view of the Uluguru Mountains. Drop off to any hotel within Dar/ Airport / Seaport.
