Description

Go for a short safari to Lake Mburo National Park, the Zebra magnet. Enjoy game-drive, safari walk and relaxation. Experience wildlife, scenery and recharge energy in the peaceful park. This is one of the two parks in Uganda where the beautiful zebra can be seen as well as the graceful Impala. On the way back to Kampala you have the chance to see the great shoe bill stork with its prehistoric look.

  • Transfer to Lake Mburo Natioal Park and game-drive

Have an early transfer (for a 4 1/2hr drive) to Lake Mburo Natioal Park, the ‘Zebra magnet’. Stop over and take photo poses at the equator and continue driving through Masaka. When entering the park enjoy a landscape of vast savannah dotted with acacia and shrubs. Head for the lodge for check in and lunch. In the late afternoon go for a game-drive for view of zebras, Topis, warthogs, cape buffaloes and impalas.

  • Transfer to Kampala

Get early up for a safari walk to visit the hyenas den, chance to see Leopards, zebras, waterbucks, birds and buffaloes in their day break jungle life! This has often been a good chance of seeing, an antelope rarely seen living in the papyrus swamps. After your early morning activities, return to the lodge for checking out before embarking on your return journey to Kampala.

  • Mabamba Shoebill Stock Viewing

Early morning Drive to Mabamba Swamp, 50 km west of Kampala. Look out for many different birds on our way to the swamp, like the Papyrus Gonolek, White winged Warbler, Northern Brown throated Weaver and Weyns Weaver. Mabamba Swamp is one of the best places to spot the rare Shoebill Stork.

But also many other species can be found here, like the Allen’s Gallinule, Purple Gallinule (swamp hen), Grey herons, African Water Rail, Squacco, Goliath, Purple and a variety of egrets and ducks. The best way to enjoy the rich birdlife is by canoe and you might even have the luck to encounter, adapted to swampy habitats. Later transfer to Entebbe International Airport for our flight.End of tour
