Drive to Kitgum town
You leave at 8 in the morning from Kampala or Entebbe to Kitgum as you start your tour to one of the most magnificent National parks of Uganda through the plain and remote northern parts of the country with en-route lunch in Gulu before proceeding to Kitgum for a night and dinner at Bomah hotel, you will stop at one of the local markets and super market so you can do your grocery shopping for some nice safari meals and if you wish some wines.
In Kidepo Valley you will hire a cook, so make sure you bring enough to eat and drink for 3 days. Journey Time is 9 hours.

Arrival in Kidepo Valley National Park
Today you drive to Kidepo National park (nominated as Africa’s leading parks in 2013 by the world travel awards). The Park lies in the rugged, semi arid valleys between Uganda’s borders with Sudan and Kenya, gazetted as a national park in 1962; it has a profusion of big game and hosts over 77 mammal species as well as around 475 bird species - The Park’s altitude ranges between 914m and 2,750m above sea level.
The park contains two rivers Kidepo and Narus which disappear in the dry season, leaving just pools for the wildlife.Time permitting you can go for your first game-drive in the late afternoon/evening after check-in at your accommodation in the Kidepo Apoka self-contained bandas. Journey Time: 3hours.

Game drives and Visit the Hot Springs
After breakfast proceed for an early morning game drive; as long as you wish, a park ranger will help you spot the lions that may be sitting on the valleyÂ’s various rocks. Other wildlife includes elephants, leopard, bush duiker, jackal, bushbuck, bush pig, ostrich, buffalo and much more, in the wild Narus Valley.
After lunch, you go for an afternoon game drive through the hot springs via the palm tree lined Kidepo River, Search for ostriches and leopard tortoises along the way and retire at the Lodge.

Visit local communities/Cultural tour
After breakfast today you will visit the Cultural Groups and explore the fascinating, ancient culture of the Karamojong people. Visit traditional homesteads, sample local dishes and hear stories of the folklore of this remote tribe. In the afternoon, you may opt to relax at your accommodation or go for an optional game drive or enjoy a safari walk through the park.

Transfer to Lira
After breakfast, you proceed to Lira; the road to Lira will be rough, and dusty depending on the weather condition. Lira is a city in Northern Uganda. It is the main municipal, administrative and commercial center of Lira District.
The coordinates of Lira are: 02 14 56N, 32 54 00E (Latitude: 02.2490; Longitude: 32.8999). Here, you will have a chance to visit the war conflict survivors from northern Uganda. Journey time is 5 hours.

Drive Back to Kampala
After breakfast (Inclusive), drive back to Kampala with a stopover for en-route lunch (not Inclusive), your guide drops you back at either your accommodation (Kampala/Entebbe) or at Entebbe Airport for your late evening flight. Journey time is 5 hours.End of tour
